Is Your Home in a Feng Shui Lock??
In classical Feng Shui, homes are built under specific energy conditions based on their orientation and year of construction. These energy conditions follow 20-year cycles, known as Feng Shui time periods.
Some homes—depending on their orientation and when they were built—can fall into what’s called a “lock.”
There are two types of locks:
1. The 20-Year Lock
This means your home may be locked for an entire Feng Shui cycle—20 years—either for people, money, or both. During this time, relationships may struggle, health issues may linger, or financial energy might feel blocked—as if money is earned, but never quite sticks.
2. The Annual Lock
These occur on a shorter, year-by-year basis—typically from early February to the following February, aligned with the Chinese solar calendar. During this year, the flow of energy may feel particularly blocked in one area: people or finances.
What Happens in a Lock?
In a People Lock, the home may affect the occupants' ability to connect, communicate, conceive, or stay well.
In a Money Lock, income may feel unstable, or money may come in but seem to vanish just as fast.
